Beth Hart is a Los Angeles native and blues-singing, rock vocalist. She was a street entertainer and was first noticed by Immortal in 1995. Her outspoken, raw personality, musicianship and emotion-filled live performances attracted the attention of many. "Hart is the epitome of a natural woman," wrote Chuck Taylor in the October 2nd, 1999 issue of Billboard magazine "bawdy and hilarious, chatty and free-spirited with her choice of spiced words. However, none of that is comparable to her stage presence. The tall, lean singer/songwriter moves and squalls out songs alongside Mick Jagger . At other times, she takes her place at the piano or centerstage, where her legs are crossed over the chairs, and her voice delicate and painfulthat it's difficult to tell if she's crying or if you'll. "Drawing emotions like this since the time she appeared on stage to compete in amateur contests as a teen, Hart nonetheless experienced misgivings about the business side of music as her career began to take off. Hart ended her performance after she failed to tour across the globe. Hart then spent nearly four years pondering and solving problems through music writing. Hart was ready to give her career another chance, and came back in 1999 with Screamin' for My Supper. It was an album that showed Hart's songwriting talent, featuring candid, vulnerable tracks that dealt with the challenges of life.
