Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. She's released over 20 albums. Her songs are classified by the label as alternative and folk. But, they have influences from hip hop as well as jazz, and punk. Ani diFranco was the first musician to start her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco's parents, Elizabeth (Ross), a ex-student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each the other when they were both attending. Her father had Italian roots and her mother was born in Montreal. 32 Flavors was a track written as well as performed by Ani DiFranco. The track is available on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco, that was released in 1996. The track is included on the movie soundtrack of the 1999 Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologized to host a seminar in Louisiana on an old slave plantation.
