Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. She's released over 20 albums. Her songs are classified by the label as alternative and folk. But, they have influences from hip hop as well as jazz, and punk. Ani diFranco was the first musician to start her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco's parents, Elizabeth (Ross), a ex-student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each the other when they were both attending. Her father had Italian roots and her mother was born in Montreal. 32 Flavors was a track written as well as performed by Ani DiFranco. The track is available on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco, that was released in 1996. The track is included on the movie soundtrack of the 1999 Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apologized to host a seminar in Louisiana on an old slave plantation. A lot of people (including us) weren't impressed by her decision. DiFranco apologized for her mistake a couple of days afterward. While she's been referred to as the Little Folksinger, her songs have embraced a variety of kinds of genres and collaborates across the spectrum from Pete Seeger to Chuck D to Prince. New Orleans is where she is based. Ani DiFranco lives with Kristen Ford. In the span of 14 months, DiFranco had already written her own lyrics. They were performed at coffeehouses, bars, and in the streets throughout her teenage years. DiFranco began attending classes at Buffalo State College at age 16 after graduating from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. The new baritone she got was created by custom Alvarez built by Chrys Johnston, who at the time worked as the Alvarez Artist Rep. It features their System 600 amp and is entirely made of solid woods, including a cedar-top mahogany body and sides that feature an ebony-fretboard. The couple lives with their two kids in New Orleans and Lefty, their dog with long legs that is never out of the frame. DiFranco is open about the fact that she has mixed feelings about her past career, that spans over three years. Ani DiFranco was a pop/punk singer and songwriter when she was 25, when her debut album Not A Pretty Girl hit the charts. Dilate, released in 1996, got even more popularity amongst fans.
