Ariel Winter

Ariel Winter is an American singer, actress and voice actor. She was born Ariel Winter Workman in Los Angeles California on the 28th of January 1998. Ariel began her acting career young appearing in a Cool Whip commercial at age 6. In a CBS episode called Listen Up! program, Ariel got her first TV role when she was just seven years old. The next time she appeared on television, it was in Monk Bones, ER and different programs. In 2007, she was cast as Gretchen in her role on the Disney Original Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. The actress made her debut live-action appearance in the role of Alex Dunphy in the hit TV series Modern Family two years later. Along with her Modern Family co-stars, she has won four Screen Actors Guild Awards for the best performance of an ensemble cast in the comedy show. Ariel has continued to voice over work on films such as ParaNorman Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel is a Taekwondo purple belt. She is the younger sister of actors Shanelle Workman and Jimmy Workman. She is a fervent singer and has a band called WickedSweet. She is also associated with charitable organizations that advocate for greener living. Her older sister applied for guardianship for her, claiming that she was physically as well as mentally assaulted by her parents. Shanelle was appointed Ariel's guardian permanent in 2014.
