Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press conference that Coleman will be Matt Smith's partner following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat claimed that he selected Coleman to be the companion because she would work best with Smith. Also, Moffat noted that she was more talkative than Smith. The most popular of her work is her television work rather than the film industry. Actually, her part as Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children landed the actress two Daytime Emmy nominations. This gave her an opportunity to display her talent in music. Eva as well as acting, is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and business owner. Eva is married three times with a daughter by her second husband.
